This three-wheeled motorcycle-like contraption is called a tuk-tuk. It's a step up from a motorcycle, and a step down from a cab. Inexpensive to ride, but loud and bumpy.

No seat belts or anything, but I always joke that the traffic is so bad in Bangkok that you never get going fast enough to get hurt if you hit anything.
