This is a typical Thai market. Note in particular the narrow (by U.S. standards) aisles and the cluttered "working" feel of the place. Not also all the natural light and the lack of walls all around.

There's not much need for heavy walls and insulation in a tropical country, except at heavily air conditioned malls for the rich and for foreigners.
