
There's a big crocodile farm in Samut Prakan (the seaside province just southeast of Bangkok). Supposedly more than 60,000 animals are there at any given time. At the farm they put on shows in which the handlers perform disturbing stunts like putting their heads in crocodiles mouths.
I figure there must be something they do to either train the animals or exploit some natural reflex or inhibition of theirs, to keep from getting torn to shreds.
My daughter Jariya, not even two years old, took one look at the stunt depicted above, and cried. I can understand why. If I didn't know better, I'd think this guy had a death wish.
