There's a lot you can learn from this photo. For example, note how things are relatively clean, and how there's a trash receptacle. The child in the foreground is dressed neatly, with a yellow shirt (the color of the King of Thailand). Stuff is lying around, but you get the impression that it's being used actively, and not just discarded. Stuff is happening here.
It's also worth adding that this place is relatively safe. People know and look out for each other.
