This picture shows Amy's parents, Shirley and Clint, in the lobby of the Amari Boulevard Hotel. Shirly and Clint accompanied us to Thailand, and were with us throughout the entire adoption process.

Thailand is full of all kinds of food. If you like American food, there's plenty of that (the Thai people seem fond of it). There are even a number of U.S. food chains operating in Bangkok, including Tony Roma's (depicted here).

My wife's mother is standing here outside a massage parlor. Both she and Amy, my wife, love Thai massage. Thai massage involves working muscles and joints in ways that, to me, seem to strengthen circulation and tone you up.

The Department of Public Welfare (DPW) interviews people who would like to adopt Thai children. Thais take good care of their children, and foreign adoption is relative rare there.

We adopted from Thailand precisely because the program there is small and well run.

Jariya immediately loved Shirley's hair. And Shirley immediately loved Jariya.
